Dear Colleagues,

It is our immense pleasure to inform you that the West Bengal State Branch under the auspices of the Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI) is going to Organize  263rd Birthday Celebration of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann on the 10th April , 2017  at the town Hall, Burdwan and the function is going to be hosted by the BurdwanSardar Unit on the auspicious occassion of the inauguration of the statue of Dr. S. Hahnemann , the Father of Homoeopathy  at the town Hall Park. We along with all the Homoeopaths of Burdwan District will feel proud to install the statue. The British spelt Burdwan Town from ‘Burdwan’having an  area 26.30 K.M.  with about 4 lakh inhabitants is about 100 K.M. away from kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal . This Burdwan is still going to be increased with the sight sseings of Curzon Gate  or Vijoy Toran built by the then prince , Bijoychand Mohtab  to welcome Lord Curzon in 1904; the Krishna Sagar , a vast pond, the Rajbari or Mahtab Manjil , inaugurated by Mahtab Chand Bahadur in 1851, now it contains  the Burdwan University ; the town Hall built between 1890 & 1894; Ma Sarba Mangola  Temple, Burdwan Science Centre , Sanskriti Lokmanch, Pirbaharam , the holy Majar, the Tomb of  Ser Afgan; 108 Shiv Temples; the Meghnath Saha Planetorium , etc. This Burdwan town is a small part of the vast elongated  district of Burdwan , rich in quality Bituminous coal mining  and iron & steel Industry of Durgapur, Agricultural product like long and fine Burdwan Rice , Sweet meat like “Sitabhog” , “Mihidana”, “Langcha”etc . and Cultural Heritage.

It is expected that about 700 delegates along with the stalwarts of Homoeopathic world  will throng at the conference to pay homage to our Master Hahnemann and to gather knowledge  from the scientific seminars . To commemorate the occasion a  befitting Souvenir  is going to be published with valuable articles .
